Nowadays usage of motor vehicles is increased a lot. People started using own vehicles for comfort than utilizing the public transport. This increased volume of motor vehicle increases air pollution. Motor vehicle consumes petrol and diesel for their motion. They combust these fuels in the engine, deriving mechanical energy out of it. During this process, there are lots of hazardous gases were dumped into the atmosphere. These materials includes carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, lead, sulphur, etc… they cause various problems to our environment and to us in several ways. This problem ranges from minor skin problems to a major respiratory disease. Some people used to mix lead with the petrol in order to increase the efficiency, which on emission leads to nervous problems in children. This air pollution also plays a major role in depletion of ozone layer. Thus air pollution is really an alarming factor, which must be controlled as soon as possible. Various alternatives must be chosen for petrol and diesel like LPG ( Liquid petroleum Gas), CNG ( Compressed Natural Gas) and hydrogen driven vehicles must be encouraged. People must start using those vehicle and must reduce petrol and diesel in order to save the atmosphere from air pollution.
