
One of the most significant achievements of human beings is its venture over space science. Humans have launched numerous satellites over the space to know more about its surface and also for telecommunication. Rocket plays an important role in placing these satellites in its orbit over space. Thus rocket plays a vital role in launching a satellite over space. Rocket uses the gravitational force and launches itself aerially. It is moreover like a sling shot like operation. Whenever we launch rocket, we are doing it against the earth’s huge gravitational force. At the same time, earth’s gravitational field decreases as we go for higher altitudes. Thus initially, the rocket is fired up with high thrust, pushing itself from the surface, now sling shot action starts. Let us compare the pull of the sling with initial thrust built by the rocket to get away from the ground. At this point, velocity with which the rocket approaches space is escape velocity. This velocity is nothing but the velocity with which our rocket tries to escape out of earth’s atmosphere and theoretically it has been found out that a rocket must travel with a velocity of 11 kilometers per second in order to escape out of earth’s atmosphere. Now, when rocket reaches out of earth’s gravitational field, the sling release action is performed, where the rocket rushes towards its specified orbit. Thus the rocket launching process is an inspiration of a sling shot.
